About the Author
Kevin Ege
As a young child growing up in Long Island, Kevin Ege made many trips camping and backpacking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. His love of nature and animals found him spending long stretches of time in their company. He has put shoes on the feet of draft horses, sport horses, pleasure horses, and racehorses. Self-educated in music and woodworking, his talents have been the lifeblood of his creative efforts. The Moon represents the return of a stream of conscious memories from Kevin’s life, written one evening and left on the internet, abandoned. Kerrie, his niece, found it and brought it back to him, shiny, colorful, and repurposed lovingly.
About the Illustrator
Kerrie Miller
The Moon is Kerrie Miller’s first illustrated children’s book. A former auditor, her love of children’s books and their illustrations began after the birth of her first child. Weekly visits to the library and daily reading with her children manifested into a dream to publish a children’s book of her own. After finding a poem entitled The Moon, written by her uncle, Kerrie finally decided to break the words down into a children’s book and began the illustrations. Kerrie is looking forward to illustrating and writing children’s books in the future. She currently lives in the Midwest with her husband.
